I’m finely putting the front fenders back on my car and I have two pieces left over! I think they belong at the back of the fender at the bottom but I can’t see where (Seniors moment) Does anyone recognize these and were they belong

I think they're called a baffle, and they go at the bottom of the front fenders, just in front of the doors. Here is a drawing I made when I took mine off:
When I made the drawing I didn't know that GM called them a baffle, so I just called them what they seemed to be - splash guards.

I just realized that my drawing doesn't really show where they go in relation to the fender. Here is a photo I took just before disassembly. You can just see the left baffle on the other side of the frame rail.
There was a loose spring between the fender and the baffle that you can see in the picture. Of course, I can't find the spring now.

That's where they go.IN front of the door, and behind the LARGE fender baffle.one side fastens to the bottom of fender, other to the frame.there should be a flat piece of channel with 5-6 bolts that sandwich the front of baffles to the car.

Look in the 49-54 Master Parts Catalog or the Fisher Body Catalog.
Very interesting site. Thanks to Keith Hardy.
