    In response to bad67nova

on the Chevy's the brake pedal Return Sping connects to a hole on the pedal and then uses about a foot long double hooked piece of spring wire to pull it tight & hook it into a hole in the transmission x-member(I believe) or a tab w/hole in it either on the x-member or frame. It's been a while since I have been under a stock truck to remember exactly where the other end hooks too....joe
