Hey everyone! I am new to this site. I am in the middle of a restoration on my 67 Impala. I cannot believe how hard it is to find certain parts... I need some help if anyone can.. I need new body trim moldings... Ya know the kind that runs down each side of the car... Does anyone know where I can find something like that?

Any help would be great!
Thanks

Pete, your original thread was moved to the appropriate classifieds forum, which is where all for sale/wanted ads should go - and it has a couple replies.

I will be helping part out a VERY rusty 4 door 67 soon because the car was bought for the 396 and drivetrain. The body trim is good,I can check it out for you further, the only issue I see is the shipping to where you are, unless you have ways to make that easier.

I will check out the trim further to see if I can help.

That's cool. 67 4dr with 396. That's uncommon. Was it a 4dr sedan or sport sedan?

Warren, quick question:

While on the topic, is a 67 Caprice, 4 door Hardtop, with a 396 and TH400 a common combination?
66 custom 347 mustang
67 impala 4 door hardtop
65 Beetle

So you are parting a 4 door impala hardtop... That’s great... Right now I am looking for 2 pieces.. One is the "dog leg" trim. It’s the small trim right behind the rear passenger door. I am also looking for an interior part... It is the plastic surround that covers what I think is called the B pillar. Ya know the part where the back door is bolted too and the front door latches onto. I need it for the Drivers side.

When are you going to start parting it??? E-mail me at pete67312866@yahoo.com

Pete,

The B-Pillar caps are also not reproduced, and very difficult to come by used. Fortunately, they're not Impala specific.

They are the same from 1965 through to 1968, and they're also the same part as used on other GM 4 door hardtops during those same years. I got mine on eBay, and they were from a '66 Buick.

This is what you're looking for: Note there is a Left & Right piece.

no the tops are fine on mine. Its the part that it sits on that is an issue with mine. the lower part has a huge crack in it and is missing some plastic.

But thanks for the info!

I suspect the 'Supernatural' craze was the impetus.:)

I think you are right. Supernatural has had a huge impact. I cannt believe all the people now restoring these cars because of the tv show.
I bought mine in 2002 way before the show started. I was shocked when I first saw it on television. I just wish there were companies making the door sill plates.
