I cut 1 1/2 coils off the front and heated the back. It is about the same height as a 3" front drop and 5" rear drop

Our customer, who owns that light blue stepside, had some troubleshooting done on the tachometer at Bud's Place. That is the 3rd tachometer that has been in that truck. The first one I put in was a reman and the 2nd was a good, used factory original, that apparently didn't hang on, since it took a dump after I trailered the truck from KC to STL. I put 1K on it with no trouble and, as luck would have it, she failed, shortly thereafter.

The turn signal switch was also a new reman, so I think the jury is still out on some of the reman'd parts. Since we are 4 hours away, we weren't able to make take care of it in a timely fashion, so it made its way to Bud's Place.

The owner is a good guy, so if you see him rolling around STL, give him a wave. He would appreciate seeing other '60-'66 Chevy/GMC trucks around the area. He would like to plug-in and hit some shows or cruise-ins, also.

My clunky old work in progress...I just recently rattle can painted the drivers side green, still have to do the other side and paint the roof white again. I still have loads of bodywork, but I wanted to get a preview of what it would look like this shade of green.

Up above, there she is being pampered after demanding some attention.

Matraca - 1965 C10 lwb Step side - here in the CT gallery

More photos here and on my webpage in my sig line, if anyone is interested in my trusty, rusty pile.

Someone else took this one at a cruise in back in January. I just stumbled on it a little while ago, it was a bit extra blue, but a truck pal of mine cleaned it up a little.

The '55 will be on the road as soon as I upgrade the brakes and do a test ride to see what else it needs to drive safely. The '42 GMC is apart, awaiting major mods including IFS, FDBs, and an LS I-6 with 4L60 trans.
