I have a 2001 1500 and heat only comes out of the right side of the dash does not matter what setting it's on. Any body else have this problem or how hard is it to get to the ducts if that's the problem. Thanks

That is usually a broken blend door or the actuator that moves it. Depending on which one is bad, you usually have to remove the dash to replace them. Check for any blown fuses first. I don't know if there is a specific one that would cause this, but you'd hate to pull the dash or even spend the money on parts when you didn't need to.

Thanks for the info I also noticed that the heater does not always blow as much as it's supposed to like today I was just pulling in the drive way home from work and it started blowing on high where I had it set at could this be any thing to do with the other problem or couinsidence that two things are going bad at the same time Thanks. Keith

Usually not related. They also had problems with the resistors for the blower motors in these trucks.
