Here are the pictures Bill (vet65b) asked me to take and post for him. I believe he's got a few left if they haven't been spoken for.

Tom,
I kept a list of those who initally responded back in December and have been contacting them on "My chevy talk". I still need mailing addresses for 65iceblue & takeitapart. I wanted to mail these out all at once instead of making 10 trips to the post office. As of today eight plates are spoken for. They do look nice! Back to the garage! Bill

65iceblue,
I got your info. Today five plates were mailed USPS, those five should have them by 3/1 at the latest. I still need an address for takeitapart. Back to the garage! Bill

Plate received. Looks very good and excellent fit. So I'm a bit confused by the cost issue - care to elaborate? But much appreciated and THANK YOU.

I received my plate also Bill.

You are very generous for doing this. I don't know what else to say except a heart felt Thank you very much!

I love it! It looks a lot better than the original beat up dented up plate that's on there now.

Very much appreciated!

Chris

Guys,
Here's the deal on the plates. I needed one, my bro-in-law in Phoenix has a connection with a water jet man. The jet man said he could make 10 at the same cost as one, so I had 10 made. These 10 cost me $30 including postage to Albuquerque. Christmas was just around the corner and I thought giving away the extra would be a way to pay back for the great help I have received from this DB. I look at this as "the board helped me so now I will help the board".
If any of you feel that you must pay something for the plate you got, do this; next time you can help a stranger at little cost and no risk to yourself, do it. We will be even. Thanks, Bill

Those look great Bill. As a relative newcomer to the board who asks for far more help than he gives, I was hesitant to ask for one immediately. But if you find yourself at the end of your list with an extra, it sure would look good on the console with my M22!

Is any one making custom shift plates like this for the Automatic SS console cars? I have a 65 SS and looking for a 5 Spd plate I found a 700R4 stock looking one I can run if need be.
Thank you for your help.

Confused Aaron, What do you mean by an automatic 5 speed?

I doubt the stock shifter has the throw amount to get all of the gears of your allison trans.

You might be right on the throw of the shifter. Maybe I will just go with the 700r4 plate and not worry about 1st. 2nd will probably work fine for lowest Manual shift gear. The Allison Linkage is actually pretty close clicks. I guess we will see.
Thank you sir.

if you would like, I could remove my shifter detente for the 4l60e and trace it. then you could cut yourself one instead of forking out the $50 for a new one.

Guys,
Here's the last of the story. I had 10 made, I kept one, eight were spoken for and mailed out. That leaves one 4-speed plate unspoken for. Anyone (who does not already have one) can have the last plate. Same deal as before, no money involved, just send me your snail mail address and it's yours.
Who ever gets this plate need only help a stranger some day, some where. Thanks again to all here who have helped me in the past! Back to the garage! Bill

Bill, for some strange reason, I don't think you're going to hear from Scot. Send him a PM and see if he's still around. He probably forgot he posted here (since he's not a regular).
