Hi Guys... hoping you can help me out here. I have a 69 convertible that I plan to paint hugger orange with black hockey strips, however, orange is one of those colors that can look really great if you get it perfect or hideous if you don't!!! My question is, does anyone have the formula to mix this paint up to the correct spec. My car is in Paraguay, so you can't just walk into a shop and say I want Hugger Orange #72... but you can mix things up. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Richard

Brilliant... thanks Bruce... I'll run these figures by the paint shop to see if they mix up a batch... any idea how many liters/pints/gallons are needed for a 69 Camaro convertible?? cheers!

I can tell you this, my 69 has a vinyl top and when we painted it, I'm glad I bought a gallon.
If your doing a compete color change, it might be more due to spraying the door jambs and under the trunk lid and also how heavy you apply each coat.
A gallon is going to be a good start though.

I always get a gallon and a half, when I paint Camaro's, Mustang's. 2 gallons for bigger cars. This way, I can put it on a bit heavier, and still be able to cut and buff, and not worry about leaving too thin of film.

Hi, I just signed up and saw your post. Now I had the same problem trying to match the hugger orange that came on my 69 camaro. A lot fo different suppliers say they have hugger orange but it doesn't match, looks almost burnt orange, I trided Eastwood, and several companies on eBay, no luck. I gave up on signal stage, because the only way was t have a local paint shop try to match the color them selves off an old part of the car, this might work but what about if you need more paint down the road it might not match. What I found was the dulpcolor hugger orange at orileysautoparts store. It is a good match but you will have to go base coate clear coate, but the color is right, hope this helps.
