I've decided to use the tight weave Daytona carpet in the cargo area of my 62 Impala 6 passenger wagon. Behind the back of the rear seat, rhe cargo deck and the tail gate. I am in Florida now and the car is in Kentucky. Looking for ideas on attaching the carpet. Thought about using Velcro. Any other ideas? Thank you.

I think I would just let the floor lay without anything and use a few snaps located at existing screws for the rear seat back and tailgate. The chrome snaps would look so much better than a strip of velcro when you remove the carpet, assuming you will have the stock floor covering underneath.

Why not make edge metal to surround the Daytona carpet. You can buy strips of Stainless at places like Home Depot and that will also hold the carpet in place.
