BODY MODS & PAINT - Dream Street and M&D Customs performed the 4” chop top, laid back the A-pillars, and laid forward the C-pillars. The drip rails were pinched in and welded smooth, door handles and cowl vents were shaved as well as the antenna and side moldings. One piece side glass was installed along with a 2” Goodmark steel cowl hood held up with billet EMS hinges. Eric Collins of Final Finish Auto Body in Reno Nevada, applied the House of Kolors Kandy Lime-Gold and Custom Black paint. They also laid down the crinkle finish graphics that run along the rear of the car. The final touch was the addition of blacked out 7” headlights.

INTERIOR MODS - The smooth treatment continues inside as the entire dash was smoothed of all holes, vents and glove box lid. Auto Meter Carbon Fiber gauges were added in a Covens gauge insert. A hand made aluminum center console was fabbed up in addition to a black one piece aluminum headliner to replace the stock cloth one. Andies Custom Upholstery of Reno installed the modern power bucket seats adorned in black leather with Ostrich inserts. An Ididit steering column with a Billet Specialties Rat Tail steering wheel was added next. A B&M Megashifter with a Von Chase Wolf’s Head knob protrude from the custom center console. A Ron Francis wiring system ties it all together.

CHASSIS - The frame was enhanced with a TCI front clip with 2” dropped spindles, chrome TCI shocks with Goodyear air bags as well as a TCI 4-link backend, sub frame connectors and anti-sway bars. Air Ride Technologies Shockwaves are used to raise and lower Ford 9” rear end which has been shortened 4 inches and equipped with a posi unit and 3.70 Richmond gears. Rounding out the suspension are Boze Shifter Wheels (front: 18x7 and rear: 20x8.5). The tires are Nitto 555‘s (front: 225/35/18 and the rear: 245/35/20’s.

ENGINE - The firewall was smoothed to make room for a 454 BB Chevy. Auto Marine Machine in Carson City, Nevada bored it out to 468 c.i and fitted it with Keith Black pistons. Then an Edelbrock Performer intake manifold with an Edelbrock 800 cfm carb was bolted on along with a Pete Jackson gear drive, Billet Specialties pulley system, tall valve covers and air cleaner. Next a Mallory Uni-Lite ignition system, Sanderson headers with Spintech Super Pro Street mufflers. The engine produces a dyno-proven 425 hp and 500 ft-lbs of torque.

TRANSMISSION - The TH400 trans was massaged by Elisons in Reno. They installed a Hughes 3,000 stall converter as well as a B&M trans cooler.

Yeah. I sold it in November to the guy that sold it at Barrett-Jackson. I only had the car for 6 or 7 weeks. He is in the business of selling cars so I knew he would be selling it. It went for 70k which is more than I sold it for. After shipping. prep and the Barrett-jackson cut he probably still made a couple of bucks.

Wow ... didn't realize you'd had the car for that short of a time.
