Alright guys...I use to start it with the key..but now I can't...switched Ignition switches...and starters...still have the problem..I ran wires from the starter to "hot wire" it and jump them to get it started..Key has power..I think I have a broken wire somewhere?.....any help?...Shane

Check the bulkhead connector under the wiper motor.It may need cleaning.See if the ignition sends power to that point.If you have power here,the problem is from here to the starter.If no power to here from the ignition,it's from the connector to the ignition switch.
I just put a new (rebuilt) starter on my 65 yesterday.Bad soleniod.
Does the engine not turn over or does it crank but not start? Is it an automatic transmission? A neutral safety switch will keep it from cranking and the firewall plug can keep it from starting or cranking.
