Like 100% said, there are bunches of hotels/motels along Hwy 90(aka Beach Blvd), some reasonable, some rather expensive. Just depends on how much you want to spend.

Here's one that I would recommend. Not only is it probably the cheapest and one of the newest, it is right in the heart of the most prime cruising area. This place was completely destroyed by Hurricane Katrina and was rebuilt about three years ago. Yeah, I know it's a Motel Six, but I'd stay there primarily because of it's location.

Hotel/motel prices skyrocket during CTC, so if you plan on attending, make reservations early. Sometimes you can sneak in your reservations before they remember to jack up the prices.

Its gonna be a good while before I make it down there, but I am already looking forward to it, and you can count on a bunch of us looking you folks up when we get there !! Might have to buy you a dinner or something..

My Daughter in law used to work for the Ritz Carlton at Lake Oconee. We could get killer deals at all the hotels in that chain, which included Marriots and a bunch of others.. But sadly she is no longer with them.. So I lost all my Hilton stock,, Im gonna come down there and sleep in the back of WW..

Connections are always good. As time allows, I will offer other hotels/motels along the cruising route..

Too tired today. Drove the Ol' 58 Impala up to Hattiesburg, MS today. Close to 200 miles round trip. The old gal cruises really good at 75-80. She sure doesn't handle well in brisk winds. Coming back home, winds were out of the SSW and at 75-80, she was a galloping animal.
