Hello, I was wanting to know if the frame from a 1964 four door Impala would fit on a 1964 2 door Impala SS. Also would any other body parts fit as well . I would appreciate the help. Thanks for the feed back to all those who have replied.

most definitely the frame will work. convertable frames are different, but non verts are all the same. I'm not sure how far back, but 61,62,63 frames would work as well....maybe older. other experts I'm sure will chime in. regarding the 4-dr parts....the entire front clip is a swap...of course molding hole will likely be different. trunk is same (should be same tail light setup)...doors wont swap....far rear quarter panels would...past rear door. i suspect glass is interchangable. probably other stuff...but thats what i know of.

Hey Dave, Different roof lines between the 2 door and 4 door. Back window is WAY different. You would THINK the windshields interchange, but they are slightly different!!!

Just for informational purposes, 2 door post cars will swap glass with 4 door cars in this time frame. 62-64 at least.

Sorry...... I wasn't thinking of the 2-door post models. I was only thinking 2-door hardtops... You are correct!!!

Out of luck there: the 1958 has a standalone frame due to a 117.5" WB.

In short no. The 2 door doors are longer and there are other differences also.

You can use most of the mechanical parts. The front clip is the same with the exception of the trim holes on the front fenders. The trunk lid will interchange with the same trim hole problems. Rear bumper is the same as are the floor pans and trunk floor. The dash area is the same with a little trim difference. None of the glass interchanges. It is always helpful to have a parts car around even if it is a different body style.
