My 52 216 is in the shop for a main seal replacement. My mechanic called with bad news that the flywheel is missing some teeth and the clutch is worn almost down to the rivets. So now I'm on the hunt. I found a flywheel "ring gear" with 139 teeth for standard transmission for $69.50 at The Filling Station. Part # WX-100. Are there any flywheel experts that can tell me if this is the right part?

For the clutch, they also have a 9 1/8 clutch disk. Same question. Is this the correct part? (part # FS-30)

I got both clutch and pressure plate from NAPA. After I got them home I found--Made in China in tiny letters.

Before you buy a 139 tooth deal, are you using 6 or 12 volt starter?

The local(to me) clutch shop carries the ring gears or can flip the old one over if the teeth look good from the back.

You should try and find somebody local to look at it to avoid any mistakes.

Or just count the teeth on your old one to be sure if you must mail order it. Cesar

12 volt starter

139 tooth is for 6 volt starter.

I believe the 12 volt starter needs 153 teeth, but not 100% certain on the 12 volt teeth number.

I counted 139 teeth on the flywheel. The clutch just needs the disc. I ordered the parts from a place called Old Car Parts. They asked the price I've found elsewhere and he beat all of them by about $5. The guy also knew what he was talking about. I will have to keep his number. (800) 886-7277. Have any of you dealt with them?

I didn't ask them if they had a website. I found them through another supplier who didn't have what I wanted. so they gave me the number. It was interesting when he asked what prices I have found then he beat it.
