this is a pretty good site for DIY guys using Chevy fuel injection. try page 3 for ECM

The 1227747 ECM was used in many of the early TBI trucks. The memcal differs depending on application, of course. That I don't know too much about.

1227747 is a very broad ECM. 88 to 94 chevy pickup. astro, blazer/jimmy. I got three spares laying in a box in my garage.

Prom couldn't say. I could see what the prom says on my stock chip at home for reference. wondering why you ask?

the ECM is correct for your truck. I cannot vouch for the PROM. from my thought though it is unlikely to matter. if it was a prom for a stock 305, it would still sort out a stock 350. if it was for a v6, it would have some serious issues.

the prom code sounds like a GM prom. does it say AC Delco on it? if it does, then I I think you are barking up the wrong tree.

Well, that is interesting. you have some options maybe. do you or your mechanic have or know some one with a 88 to 94 chevy pickup with the same size motor? you would be able to just swap proms to be sure.

I would offer to mail you a compatable chip but I only have 4 eproms laying around and you could just as cheaply ebay your own.

It means if you order from a GM dealer, you'll wait a week or 2 'till it shows up.

I just looked this up for you

pdf explaining the code on the prom, scroll down.

you have a valid PROM, the newer style PROMS dont say DELCO on them just:

Top Marking: First 4 digits of 8-digit part number.
Middle Marking: Broad Cast Code Part Identification.
Bottom Marking: Last 4 digits of 8-digit part number.

top:???
middle:amvr
Bottom:0055

or it should be
Top Marking: Manufacturer Identification
Middle Marking: Broad Cast Code Part Identification
Bottom Marking: External ID Number

top:Delco
middle:amvr
Bottom:0055

hate to be the pessimist but I don't think you are going to find a database with that info easily. as RCR3 has shown the part numbers change a lot. I am sure this has gone through several revisions. when I get home I will look at my stock 1988 PROM and see what is on that. should be in an hour half or two. I have to get out to a project site now so good luck.

btw, dont search with amvr0055 as it wont get you anything. you need to search for one or the other or with them spaced.

I am looking at a factory PROM here. although it is the old one that has delco on it.

top:delco
mid:ACSF
bottom:9968

I know this came out of a 88~91 chevy k1500. it had a v8 but dont know if it was 305 or 350...
