Quick question, how do the 305 Vortec heads compare with the 305 HO '416 castings? The shortblock would be a 9.0 to 1 305 with the 350 Ramjet Hyd. Roller cam in a light vehicle with a 200-4R and 3.42 gears.

The 059 Vortec castings will BLOW the 416s out of the water in every possible manner. I would target a little more compression with that setup as 9.5 was factory for the L69. Make sure the pistons are no more tha .025" in the hole and if they are, use the .016" compressed rubber embossed steel shim headgasket.
