Dang....forgot I had a 74, must be the old age thing.
I like the all.
Saw this one in Colorado a few years ago. Not for everyone but I like it.

If I did not have new quarters on mine I would do that to make room for bigger back tires. There is very little room on the 78s for big tires. Forget the front end, tho. JB

Well my very favorite is my 59 cuz it is the first elky I bought, and I just think it is cool, and frankly so do a lot of other folks. And my second very favorite is my 87 cuz it also gets a lot of comments.

Nice 87, but your 59 pic is very small.

Looks like I may be the first in this thread, but my favorite El Camino is 73-77. I've had a 77 and still have a 73, and those 2 years would be my favorites among the bunch, based on the minor differences in styling. Nice style, size, chassis, and interiors. I use my 73 often, but needs resto, so I'll just put up this pic from the 73 El Camino factory brochure:

1959 then 1960. It's all about the styling. These were 2 of Harley Earl's last designs, definitely outside the box and stunning. Both generate strong emotions, good or bad, which is what great art is supposed to do. Offerings since have progressively tamed down to the point you are not aware they are around. Can't say that about '59s & '60s!

I Own and Love my '70 SS, All are cool, but the 1970 being an one off front end is special to me. But of course my 695 HP Bored and Stroked 454 ( 496 ci) Monster under the hood of it makes it Loveable to everyone that see's it.
