I would like to ease the pain a little when washing the Tahoe by permanatly removing my eyesore luggage rack. Is there a kit to plug the holes left by the rack. Anyone have any experience with this. Thanks

So far I have just removed the crossbars and left it at that.
To remove the crossbars I removed the aft rail attachments and slid them off. I'm not sure if there is an easier way to do this.

put sealant on the screw threads and put them back in the holes.

If it is a Z71 Rack you could sell it pretty easy on ebay, craiglist or even Z71Tahoe-Suburban.com.
Yeah, best to put the bolts back in and cover with some silicone. I say put the bolts in first so that you can change you mind later.

Please do this! There's always someone hanging around that's looking for a roof rack (depending on the timing and shipping, I may even be interested).

Sorry, didn't even think about it being construed that way - was thinking more than it would help out some folks that are looking for the rack off a Z over there.

No harm done , I just want to make certain that this doesn't turn into an advertisement, that's all. Keeping things like that behind the scenes makes life easy
