I am enjoying it too! Think you could start another thread? Maybe frame off 2? There are getting to be so many pictures in this one that it is taking it a long time to load. Just a suggestion.

That part is easy. Here is the link.
http://www.chevytalk.org/fusionbb/showtopic.php?ti...

It should show pretty much the same thing in the address line of your browser when you are on the first page of the thread.

Ok, highlight that link and then press ctrl C. Then in your new post, put the cursor where you want the link to appear and press ctrl V. This works for all Windows machines. I'm sorry, but I can't tell you how to do it if you have a Mac.

thank for the info.

I use crtl+c and crtl+v and I can tranfer something in a new post but not in the form of a link.

The link you place for me above don't work because is incomplete (I think, the 3 dots are not on the original adress )

Now I need to know where you take the link. For the transfer now it's OK,

thanks again.

You're welcome!

I should restart to work on the frame next week or so, for now I have the steer axle to begin. When I pick up the steer axle parts yesterday, I left to the painter the left side of the axle. He'll paint it for the next monday.

I'll zinc some parts, like the master cylinder cover and it's plug.

Can't wait myself to see that frame completed...I think my friend and I will have time this week (together) to work on the frame. We work quickly together on that frame. It's easier.

But alone I work on the other part of the car. This week end I worked on the steer axle. I had a problem with the tool I used to install the top A arm shaft. It's a hard shaft to torque, and my tool broke. I have to wait to monday and see my friend and make me a new one. But I install the lower A arm and the spindle. I use foam to avoid paint to go on the thread inside the A arm.

The plug and cover of the master cylinder are out to be zinc coated.

Nice looking frame, mine "should" look like that after the correction. Do you know where I can found the two side body mount (outside one) just in front of the rear wheel?

Mine are very rusty, I'm in process to make new one, if I can found two good mount, I'll install it instead of working on making other new one. thanks!

My friend make me another tool for installing the upper shaft for the A arm. This one is thougher and work well.

I install left side shaft too. I had put the right upper A arm tonight. I'll put tomorrow the coil spring and the right side will be all set.

I'm waiting for the left part, painter....

You know, your parts look better than they did when the first left the GM plant. How are you going to explain this to the judges?

It's not real hardwood, I don't know how to tell in english, it's piece put togheter with glue. Some of that stuff can be put togheter by clicking it to each other. It was a bedroom just beside of my garage. I have a door to go in by this bedroom. So the floor was made like that. It's easy to clean and can resist the weight. I'm sorry if your wife can SEE and FEEL the true advantage to use hardwood in your shop. May be my wife shoud talk to your's?????

there is a picture of the old bedroom. The first door on the left open to the garage.

Tonight, I pick up the rest of the part at painter's shop. It was a bit long but they are great.

This guy work at home and outside as a mechanic. I can see him outside, and talk with him without going to his shop, because I'm working on the road and his boss is one of my customer.

I found the guy a bit stressed for a while (2 or 3 week), but don't mind with. But tonight, when I went to his shop, I saw the body shell of the Pontiac hit on the rear two fender on many place. Not only my car but a bike and something else too.

He had a crisis in his garage and our "toy" help him to lower is stress.....................I'm a bit confused because I can't take the job by myself, and I don't know anybody who can take the job right now....................I can understand a man if he have some problem but....

The car is reparable, there is not to big dent, but is worse right now than before, it was not suppose to............... I will sleep on it and tomorrow keeping smile. Let you know...

last night, i visit another shop. The guy is skill for that kind of job, and willing to take the car not before xmas. He seem to be OK in is head!

Now I have to take the car out the actual body shop, store it until xmas.

The price is not the same too, but the job is a level higher. My goal to take the car rolling at the end of 2009 is gone. I'm not too worry about not reaching the 2009 goal,

The guy suggest me to find another body shell in good condition, because mine is very rusty under and on the rear fender.

I've not seen any good here, do you have one in your rear pocket????

Today I'll working on the steer axle, and try to finish it. I'll post some picture after.

Let me know, seriously, if you have a good body shell in 2 doors sedan version, 53 or 54. I have just to change the dash and it will look like a Pontiac canadian!

now this is the picture of my afternoon yesterday.

I'm waiting tie rod rubber from Chevy's of the 40's, so the tie rod will be on the steer axle later.

I'll talk with the painter who hit the car, and going to take out the car... I don't know when. Keep you inform...and picture of the damage as soon as I can.

have a good weekend.

I went monday night to the painter shop. Yes the one who hit the body shell. I have time to talk with, and he tell me he was drunk and can't handle life pressure at this time! OK!!! I said to me, but I would enjoy most if he could hit something else, anyway it was crazy that night to see him having EXTRA motivation to work on my car now.

He let me know that the dammage on the rear fender cost me anything (I hoping so!!!). I think if I let him touch the car again, he could fix it and paint it in 2 days! He was SSOOOOOOOOOOO full of energy, he could move montain.

I found another body man and I tell him to do not touch the car again. I was desapointed, he was hoping to correct his mistake.

He will not have this "chance" , for me it is timeout with him.

I'll put back my old frame in service, install small wheel on the rear, bring the frame at the shop, put back the body on, and bring it to my friend shop, the one who help me to correct the frame.

It is a good place to put the body, we will have it near to check the new frame and body fit before painting it.

The "rough" painter accept to paint my frame and other small stuff. (because is near of my house)

I'll show picture of the dents when the body will be out of his shop, in the next 10 or 15 days.

Frame: we should touch it soon, I know I said you that before, it's always true!!!!

Have a nice day.

If I'm not mistakin', the French language has about 300,000 words. Us Americans on the other hand have about 1.2 million. If you need to borrow a couple of extra words to cuss out your painter, just give me a call!

Just when you think everything goes wrong, and you have no direction to go, that's usually when it turns around!
