Woo hoo!
thanks for keeping a great site updated, persh! I send newbies from old truck places all over the net to check out your power steering installation, among other things.

I've added some gas pedal trivia. See the disappointing difference between the two different types of gas pedals used in our trucks.

It's back
I needed to look at the alternator swap because one of the wires accidentally got pulled out, and I was'nt sure where it went.

Uh oh, looks like the hacker screwed up the alternator swap page, it talks about a 700-R4 instead of a alternator swap.

The hacker messed stuff up so bad that the server guy had to reload everything. I just noticed, like 5 minutes ago, that he reloaded an older version of the site to get it unmessed up. I will upload the newest version tonight when I get home from work - that should be in a couple of hours. Sorry for the mess up. In the meantime go HERE and cursor down the page to the alternator stuff.

The alternator upgrade just shows some pictures of alternators, then the text talks about 700-r4 swap.
Not trying to sound like a broken record, just in case you did'nt know it is still messed up

Oh,I think I see what you're talking about! That page has several random tips on it. The alternator swap is just one of them. Were you expecting more detail? More pictures? Maybe a wiring diagram? Maybe I should break those tips onto separate pages......

I thought it used to have the diagrams?
Must have been thinking of another site, it was 2004 when I upgraded the alternator.
Sorry about that

Persh, do you know what year Cherokee door stops will work?
I presume it's the standard cherokee and not the Grand Cherokee.
Thanks

Right. Not a Grand Cherokee. Just the plain old Cherokee, 1984 to 2001 (Comanche pickup will work too - for front door checks)

Any idea why my McAfee virus software says...

No idea whatsoever. It doesn't make Avast or Norton excited.... You're the first one who's mentioned such an occurrence.

The server was scanned completely a couple weeks ago and no viruses were found. Some update patches were installed. There should be no issues. If there are. Let me what error message you got and what anti-virus software you're using and we'll investigate. Thanks.

persh, tgreen isn't the only one. at one time in the past the site got hacked if I remember and did have a virus. ever since then my anti-virus software warns me, even though I've added it to the the software's list of acceptable sites. Apparently it's been logged somewhere as "suspicious" I use Trend Micro.
