Here is a couple pictures of my '84 S-10

Basic homebuilt 383 (NA), Turbo 400, 9" Ford
Best ET so far is a 10.380 with a 1.445 60'

Hoping to better that next season.

1.445 is the best so far.
Hoping to sort out the suspension next season. The truck tends to twist when it hooks hard, the left front tire comes up about a foot and the right front only about 4". I bought a rear ARB that I will get installed this winter to stop the twist and get a more consistent launch.

Sounds good. I need to get mine ready for running to the FD when calls go out. I am about to go though the training for becoming a firefighter and I think the s-10 is the perfect truck for it.

Nice truck..check over at www.V8S10.org. They can probably help you out with the launch twist..might even straighten out your headlight..

Thanks... the twist will be fixed by the ARB I have sitting in the bed of the truck. Waiting on my chassis guy to get some spare time.

The headlight is straight... it's the trim piece that's crooked. Planning on getting a new grille and bumper this winter to clean up the front end.

I used to spend quite a bit of time at V8S10, but now spend most of my time at http://www.s10racer.com/board/
Bunch of good guys that race S10's.

Doesn't happen very often that they are both clean at the same time...:rotf: Wifes out of town so I actually had time to wash her Blazer and the SS. I finally got the 98+ bumper and valance done on the SS.

Here are a couple of updated pictures of my truck from a couple weeks ago at Beech Bend Raceway in Bowling Green Kentucky. We had the 3rd annual S10 Super Nationals. If you get a chance you should try and make it next year... it was a blast. We had 1/8 mile and 1/4 mile races.

Thought I'd update with some pictures from this past season. Made a few changes last winter.

Here are a couple shots of the truck at Bowling Green in the pits at the 4th annual S-10 Supernationals...

This is the trucks first pass down the track at Bowling Green this year... 10.067 @ 133.78 mph
It'll be in the 9's next spring...

Thanks guys...

Here is one that a friend took this fall when I went back down to Bowling Green. It's a little fuzzy, but it gives you an idea. I've been working on tightening up the front end and hitting the slicks harder. It still keeps yanking the front up slowing me down. I'll get it next year... I hope.

Yea... that's Joe. He was running a SB2 engine making just over 850 hp on E85. He sold the truck this summer as a roller. We've raced a few times. Heads up he wins everytime... brackets... it's a toss up.

I ordered this truck in 1985 and the photo is also from 1985. It had the gutless 2.8 Liter V-6 and a 5 speed manual transmission. Drove it for 7 years and put over 100,000 miles on it. Great truck. I sold the S15 to a buddy of mine and then bought a 1992 GMC Jimmy which turned out to be the biggest POS vehicle I ever owned

Here's my 2001 GMC Jimmy SLT 4x4. 206,000km (129,000 miles). Pretty well fully loaded with Heated Leather, Power Sunroof and On-Star. Stock as the day she was built right now, haven't had her on the road since I bought her. Got it from my Uncle for a $1000 because it wouldn't start, but had $1200 of new tires. Found out moisture was getting into the coil wire at the distributor cap, total of $70 to fix! Score! Doing some stereo work here soon, along with some exterior accents, new LED taillights and new LED interior lights and accents!

My first try at adding a picture. Lets see if my 68 year old analog brain can post a pic of my 2010 Colorado 5.3 ZQ8. Bone stock first pass was 9.49 on our little eighth mile track.

Thanks for the comment. Chevy did a good job of getting the performance and handling right on this truck, as long as you don't want to haul very much. Too bad there will not be any more of them.

Wagonmaster, I think a little more cam, exhaust, rear tire, caltracs or similar and a good dyno tune will get us close and keep it very street friendly.

Got the stereo installed. The Jimmy on the right was my first one, 2000 SLS 4-Door. Sold it last year at 305,000km. Left one is my current one, 2001 SLT 4-Door, 228,000km just rolled over today. Just a baby lol. Put vent shades over the side windows and put a bug deflector on since that picture was taken!
