A friend of mine's truck has had the sagging door problem for a while. His son (Normal driver of the truck) did not tell him until it was too late.

Where all it would have taken a little while ago was new pins and bushings, the hole for the bushing is now too big to hold the bushing.

Do they make an oversized bushing for this and if you have to drill the hinge out, how do you insure correct placement of the bit????

Any other ideas on this fix??? I did a search and only found one reference to oversized bushings...but no answer.

Thanks in advance for your response.

Jay

Have repaired this problem many times using a template made from a good hinge. Took a piece of 1/4" flat bar, tracing the shape of the good hinge and using a transfer puch to mark the hole location, cut to shape and drill the correct size. Now weld the worn hole closed and grind to shape. Lay the template on the repaired hinge, using the transfer punch to mark the position of the hole and drill. Put the template in the miscellanous drawer of your tool box so in a couple of years when you find it again you will say to yourself,"What the he$$ did I make that for""""
