Hey Norm, I love those corner fender guards. Been looking for some for my car. Don't suppose you have another set or know where I could find a set do you? Great looking car...

Thanks Vern. No I don't have any extra bumper guards, wish I did. I seen some a while back in beautiful shape for around $600 I think it was, also a pair of well used ones that needed re chromed for $400. They are not cheap. Seen both pairs on e-bay.

Hi Ray, I think that Grille is correct for 52 as it has the right park lights and there were a number of 52's built that way. It's only a rumour but I was told the Korean war impacted heavily on chrome and nickel supply and so they used up the 51 parts on 52's from the factory.

And when it was laid to waste, they called it peace.

I recently acquired the '51 DeLuxe that my great-grandfather bought new. Here is it at the old homestead - somewhere it hasn't been in over 50 years. He lived here until my great-grandmother passed in 1961, and drove the car until he passed in 1971.

My 1949 Chevy Deluxe. 350 Small Block, Automatic OverDrive, Bagged, Jag Front End. Work In Progress. Named IceCream CupCake (My two daughters came up with it. Its what they expect to get everytime they ride in her.) Went for a real sleeper look and tried to keep everything looking as original as possible.

I'm not a low rider or bagged car fan. That being said. I really like yours. Yours looks so different in that you kept an original look with the car lowered. Most guys drastically change the appearance of the car as far as making it look too modern or new in combination of lowering it, etc. Different tastes for everyone, I know. I really like that original and somewhat worn look with it being lowered. Very different, yet original if that makes sense, lol !
