I push it down and it won't stay down!
Comes back up so the flashers won't stay on.
My 95,K-3500,turbo diesel if it helps.
Any ideas?
Thanks,Mike.

    In response to 100% CHEVY

Be careful...mess with it too much more and you'll end up with the opposite problem; on and won't turn off because it breaks in the "on" position! This is an extremely common problem on the 1995-up column where the hazard button goes bad. It also often gets broken when people remove the dash bezel to work on the cluster, a/c controls, etc. and smack the button with the bezel.

I've seen some mentions on the 'net of people repairing it with a button assembly sourced from an S10 but I don't know much about that - otherwise the only 100% fix is to replace the thing, and guess what, it's part of the entire multifunction switch.

Edit - this looks like probably the one they were talking about using for parts - http://dormanproducts.com/p-46815-924-608.aspx
