Can someone tell me what are the two brown wires next to the coolant temp. Sensor connector. I think they are grounds but not sure.

On a '94 you have 4 ground wires that terminate near the CTS. Two are black, and two are tannish-brown. Pic from my '94:

that they are. usually to the thermostat housing and right near it.
Usually ecm ground and on certain models ABS ground
perfect pic above explains it
