if anyone can help me out...picked up a small block motor..cant find anything on it..tried nastyz28 and a bunch of other forums..V0107XT is the block id...please help

That is the block stamping id stamped into a machined pad at the front of the passenger side cylinder head. It looks like what you have but misssing a alphanumeric somewhere i think.Shouldlook like this: V0322CMK. There is another one witch is the block casting number which is located at the back of the driver's side cylinder head and will look something like this: 3970010.

just went out and double checked it...heres the kicker:chevy dealer says motor was built in flint,mich on jan 7 1969 but cant find an XT at ending block number..i did try the cast codes and same thing...im stumped.i just switched from having all fords to all chevys and that code is bugging me to see what it came in.thanks for reply

yeah...kinda bugs me.ive talked to 7 chevy dealers and nothing other than what i posted.i think the guy who sold it to me was FOS...go figure.

Surprising to hear that ANY dealer is willing to provide info on an older engine.
As mentioned earlier, what's the number at the rear of the engine behind the driver's side head?
