persh...are those specs the same for manual steering and also power steering? I thought I heard that one was different. Maybe I'm wrong...

They are the same whether power or manual.

As I said recently, manual gears used less caster to make the truck easier to steer at slow speeds (like when parallel parking).

The power gear can handle more caster, but since it was the first couple of years for power steering ON TRUCKS - the factory didn't take advantage of the greater force available for the power steering gear. If you have factory (or aftermarket) power steering, you can add a couple of degrees of caster to the stock setting to improve the return-to-center feel on the steering.
