He passed away a couple of years ago at the young lively age of 76. One thing he left behind was a couple of nicely restored vehicles.
Here's the 58 1/2 ton he finished in the mid 70's (I swear I won't show anyone the mint green shag carpet he put in it LOL). A REALLY nice little cruiser!

Thanks guys. Obviously a very soft spot in my heart for this one. I built a 59 fleetside just after he finished this 58, but mine was the typical, small block, wanna-be hot rod. Dad did this one quite differently. He had just bought a 73 GMC 1/2 ton with the 454. I think the fuel milage he was getting got to him. This 58 has a 250 straight 6 and 3spd manual trans with overdrive. I remember hin saying he was getting 20-25mpg on the freeway. Very belivable with no ac, no PS, no power anything. Good thing these trucks are light! That little 250 is surely not a powerhouseby ANY means!

Sorry to hear about your Father Marv. He has obviously passed the car bug on to you. Nice looking bunch of rides, thanks for posting them.
