Welcome to Chevy Talk!
Look at the front of the right side axle tube under the mount for the top swing arm.
Scrape the crud off and you wil;l see some print stamped into the metal.
Compare yours to the chart posted below.This will tell you what was installed by GM.Keep in mind that the gears could have been changed by former owners.
In that case,pull the rear cover and count the teeth on the ring and pinion gears and divede the them to get the ratio.
