Does it ever end?

I send back my dash cluster back in December to have issues I had to be fixed. After almost five months and several phone calls, I received a UPS tracking number and should have had my cluster by last Friday.

Friday came and gone and not delivery, I check the tracking number and there was no updated available. Today I checked and still had no update, so I called and was told to contact the shipper to file a claim. The package made it to UPS site 30mins from me and then disappeared. UPS is looking for the package so maybe it will turn up.

There was insurance on the package which is good but now how long is it going to take to redo another cluster and have is shipped to me?

Oh yeah, I am still waiting to get my engine back it should have been ready 2-3 weeks ago. I hope to be able to enjoy my car more this year then the past..... we'll see.

Well I have some good news, my dash cluster was found and I received it today. The work is Great and now I am happy with what I have, it only took about one year that was to only be 4-6 weeks. Now I just need to install it.

It does look nice Ed.
If I recall correctly my memory is excellent. My ability to access it is not.

I have had a few ask where it was done, Auto Instruments in West Virginia. All I can say is it did come out great, but there were issues dealing with them. If anyone wants to hear my side or issues I had send me a PM. They did great work but you need a lot of time and patience.

Man we both have exactly the same outdoor table... and I live in Australia. I know there is a bigger issue here but.... THE SAME OUTDOOR TABLE! Looks like China will sell to anywhere.

Yes this one finally came out great, but there were many phone calls and I had to listen to excuse after excuse. This was the second on they did for me only because the first looked great the gauges would fall out because of broken or melted mounting point.

I feel your frustrations it's a PITA dealing with shops that can do great work but are becoming lazy. I did as much on my car as I could but somethings I could not so I paid good money to have quality work done only to have it redone again. I wonder if some of these shops ever check their work or think the no one will notice. I hope you will get to enjoy driving your car soon.

The outdoor table? Or Ed's killer dash? Do we need to start a thread on outdoor furniture? I think not. Glad you got a good result in the end Ed, it looks great
