We have a strange thing going on with the Model A. I killed the engine, and turned off the battery. Then I heard a weird "clicking" sound. It sounds like the IAC, which is mounted under the dash, is cycling. Then I noticed that the power light on the MSD box is also cycling to the same beat. This was happening when the battery was turned off. Note that the HP and the MSD are both hard wired to the battery, before the switch, as required.

I turned the battery back on and started the engine. When I turned it off, everything was OK.

I'm wondering if I have a kind of EMI thing going on? Has anyone else experienced this sort of thing?

What do you mean "turned off the battery"?

Also, do you have electric fans?

Battery disconnect switch.

There is an electric fan, but it wasn't running. The truck was in the garage.

I know your engine isn't "running-on" but maybe it's doing something like this:

But if the battery was turned off, then it seems like a capacity was discharging through something.

I suspect you're right. It seems like a surge or something happens when the disconnect is switched. I've found that the situation will not happen if I wait a while to turn off the battery. Thanks for the replies.
