so first I'm having to deal with the carb, but yesterday I also realized that my compressors for the air ride take forever to refill the tanks, is this also due to the elevation? how to fix it??

Lived in SA and Denver, never noticed a difference in the time it took to fill or come up off the rails in either location.

San Antonio isn't at a very high elevation (650 ft). We're higher up here in the land of corn and soybeans.

First check to see that you don't have a line kinked or otherwise restricted. If you have a single compressor (such as a Thomas 215) and a larger volume tank(s), it can take a while to fill. Adding a 2nd compressor or switching to one with more CFM will help speed things up.

I'm currently running 3 compressors (2 old school Thompson's) and one AirLift 380, in San Antonio it took about 8 minutes for all 3 tanks to fill (about 12 Gallons) I timed it yesterday 15 minutes exactly to fill...that's a tad scary for me..seems at that rate they may 'blow'. However I looked underneath (where the 380 is/the other 2 are in the trunk) and noticed that the AirLift 380 wasn't even hot, I was literally able to touch it...from what I've always thought; the compressors after running even 8 minutes are so hot that you can't touch them! Spoke to Gibby from USA (in SA) and he's thinking the 380 may be on it's last leg...it is 3 years old....

Sounds like a pump is going...might be time to get two higher capacity ones to replace the three you got.

Thanks, already have experienced the "mexican food" here

Not sure if you saw my other post, I've been messing with my carb for a week now. Luckily I upgrated to a new Edelbrock intake and carb before I left Texas in anticiaption of this. The Edelbrock is very easy to work on. I've changed out the jets and that has helped tremendously, I'm hoping the metering rods will arrive today....I've also ordered a new 480 ViaAir compressor to upgrade my old 380 (which I think might be on it's last leg)...so I'm excited to see what'll happen once the rods and new comp are installed
