What are they&where do they mount?Any pics?I understand they "protect"fender skirts.??

in this picture you can see the scuff pad at the front of the skirt next to the rocker panes moulding. picture was taken in 1969.a 1960 would be in the same place.

Not a very good picture.I am guessing that it is that "chrome"piece?So far away hard to view good.But I think I understand now.It goes down low to protect the fender skirt?from say rocks etc?

I kept googling the part.Never thought to lookup a car.So it is there to coverup part of the fender skirt.Gotcha now.Just bought some stainless steel fender skirts;don't think the stainless scuff pad wil help any.That is why I was trying to view exactly where they mounted.
