Would anyone be able to post a picture of a carburetor tag.Did all carbs have them?Thanks in advance if anyone has any info.

What year? Rochester or Carter? Some are brass, some are aluminum.

quadrajets did not have tags. the #s are in the housing.

Good point FI!
I would also like to add that the early Qjets did have a foil tag - circular in shape, inserted above the throttle arm.

You can probably see a variety of tags on E-Bay, if all you want to know is what they look like. There are all kinds of repro and used tags for sale; just type in the kind of carb you're concerned with in the search function. Works for me. Butch/56sedandelivery.
