The 56 is done well as done as any of these projects can be done... but we are having an odd problem with the horn and the turn signals... When you turn the steering wheel... after 4 or 5 turns the horn starts randomly honking... and at the same time the led turn signal arrows in my outside mirrors with flash. My mechanic says it is the strangest column wiring he has ever seen as my horn wire runs through the turn signal switch. Not like all the other tri fives out there. Also he says the horn wire was hot and not a ground as he thinks it should be. We are going to see if changing out the turn signal switch will solve the problem. In the mean time I am hornless in Seattle.
Any other thoughts?
Thanks,

Is this a original steering column or aftermarket. The horn wire doesn't go through the switch on an original column. It goes up the column to the upper bearing slip ring. The horn wire will have 12 volts on it until it is grounded.
Check the washer under the steering wheel nut, if it is too large, it can contact the belleville spring (large cupped washer) and honk the horn on turns.
