This afternoon I'm setting in the local DQ minding my own business having a ButterFinger Blizzard, when a man walks up and ask if that's my coupe in the parking lot. I said yep, thinking "I hope he hasn't hit it. He said "I have two brand new, unused bumpers that will fit it." Then he said "they are brand new never put on, and I will take $150.00 for both.
I pick them up tomorrow and I need them too.
I'm going back to DQ tomorrow for a Blizzard, I'm looking for a tilt column.

That a great deal!!! Did you have the a/c going on your way to the DC?
A friend was over last night to pick up a 235 engine I had and his brother was with him. He asked if I was going to a car show on Saturday. I told him no because of the wiring in the 53. I said I was going to order a harness from Rebel. His brother said that he had a brand new still in the boxes 21 circuit GM wiring harness. Don't know the brand but only paid $100.00 for it. Get it tonight.
Still might drive it to the Inliners Convention.
Again, great deal for you. I'm really happy for you.

Dang good Okie!!! Just goes to show you - TIMING IS EVERYTHING.
One of the best things about going with my dad on a parts run Saturday morning when I was a kid, was stopping at the DQ for a couple of malts on the way home! If only I could return the favor now...he's been gone 11 years.
His favorite car was the '57 Mom made him sell in 1967. Now, I have TWO!!!

BBBBaaaaaadddd news, wrong bumpers. The guy assured me they were 1950 but not so. I think they are 54. It's been a while since I have owned a 54, about 5 years but the best I remember that's what the looked like. They are nice though.
Anybody need 54 bumpers and you are close I have his phone number.

The '54's have forward facing "bumps" on each end. The '53's don't, rather they curve gracefully all the way around.

I do too Carl. They are bright, one is like my 50 in that it rounds smooth around the sides, the other has the bumps that Rrausch spoke of.

Problem is, they turned out to be 1953 and wouldn't fit. But the blizzard was worth the trip.
