I can`t tell you for sure on a 62, but the 4 speed in our 65 was the "granny", LOW first gear. Not sure you`d want that behind a 427!
We`re swapping the 292 six & 4 speed for a 283 & T-350 automatic.
The only thing I`m sure of, is that I`m not sure of anything.
