I have a 402 Big Block that decodes as a replacement block (71 Model). After teardown the pistons are 6o over. One cylinder will not clean up so the Machine Shop says they can bore it 90 thousandths.I was under the impression that you couldn't bore a block more than 60 without causing problems.Does any one have any input? Can it be bored 90 without causing problems???

i would check on custom made pistons in .065 over if that would clean up the bores.
