That's the bracket I picked up at Carlisle a few years ago, and it's still not helping me out. My engine was in a 57 years ago, and I had one of those big yellow 'Super coils' mounted on the firewall. The engine is now on a tractor, with no firewall, and I got the above bracket. My engine is a 67, with the 67 distributor, and the vacuum advance is bigger than the older ones and gets in the way. The older ones had a smaller VA and was positioned different. I don't know if the figure 8 would work for me either. I also have a dual point distributor with no VA, but I didn't have much luck with that either. I'll have to see if I have a pic of the older dist with VA, as I remember seeing one somewhere.
