    In response to bowtiefan

I do have a castiron powerglide and the switch I have is from Danchucks part number 1104. The problem I'm having is not only do the screws holes not line up but I can't get the switch to lay up tight against the column. It's like the switches two end attaching brackets are two narrow or the column tube is two wide. To get the switch to work as designed I'll need to remove either the left or right bracket and secured it with one end bracket and the middle bracket. It is possibly I might not have a 56 column but it sure does look like one. Before I go and modified a new part I'd like to know if I am the only one to have this problem and why. Thanks
