Yea, sometime my brain goes into overdrive. Let me explain. This is a street/strip car and sometime bad things happen on racetracks. I guess I can envision a scenario where (in a crash) the charge wire gets pinched and cut in two. One end falls away as an open circuit but the other end gets trapped and shorted to ground. If the side that gets trapped and shorted doesnâ€™t have circuit protection we have a fire. There is a voltage source on both ends of that wire so I thought it best to protect both ends.
