Hello from California. I just purchased a decent but needs a lot of work 1970 C-10 truck with a 350, 4 speed manual transmission with a 12 bolt rear. I have a lot of questions regarding the equipment on the truck. I want to do a fairly close period correct restoration as far as appearance goes at like a 25 foot distance. I want to more or less keep the thing looking mostly stock but give it a little show and a little go.

Right now I'm focused on getting things cleaned up and trying to figure out a few basic things like what rear gear ratio it has and what has been upgraded by previous owners. It has power steering but not sure if it actually came that way or not. Also has a later model stock cast iron intake manifold with a quadrajet carb. Is there anyway to decode this thing and figure out what belongs on it and what was later added?
