I don't know what is going on with these bathtub clips. I have $100 worth of them in the garage and none of them fit like the originals.
Well, they would, if I ground the holes in the body, but you know how I feel about that.
I can't comment on the '59 as I am not familiar with the clip arrangement on them. We do have several '59 members who can though....
Well, there is always a better mouse trap out there. Now the purists will say that what I did is not correct and they are right. But you know, if I ever have to remove the moldings from the car - it is slick. As far as the bathtubs are concerned, I took the used originals (which you drill off) and I cut the backs off. Attach the tub over the threaded stud of the aftermarket clips and NO ONE (but us) will know what you did!
