It seemed like the 62 sold at a perfect time ,in my local shopper at the time ,I spotted a 1964 impala ss hardtop tach on dash original condition cream interior cream carpet 409 car from los angeles ca I had seen this car growing up as u enter Acosta plaze from the garner ave area Salinas ca two classics were parked there a silver raider color with flakes same thing as helmet, with 409 car 4spd.and both cars were wonderful examples of each year the other car parked in front was a original two tone 59 2 door impala .original hubcaps sitting perfect and color was white roof white trunk and turquoise body both superb fine rides..so I knew which impala the silver one was in the local shopper I called to setup a viewing of the 64 impala 59 at the time was not in a posting but I did ask how much for your other impala 59 just to ask I had too.. 8000 he said but he mentioned not for sale at the moment I said ok let's met for the 64 ss silver .plan set.after test driving car I realize the owner of silver impala knew my stepdad ..long story short I handed over 4000 cash I had ,I told guy that we knew could he give me a chance and let me pay hike the 2 thousand in less then two months I was working counter sales auto parts at the time ,his asking price was 6,800 obo I chopped the car to 6,000 after talks ..drove car home without pink slip,I made s document both signed and put payoff date of less then two months of payments if I could pay u sooner I will guy said I kno u and your stepdad its ok.yes.I took car home parked it at final resting spot at la Honda court Salinas ca garage. I made sure he had pink also.,after every two weeks I would pay him 650 I paid the guy as soon as I got my checks per 2 week's car got paid less then two months I called guy over to bring pink slip for final payment of 400 he brought pink and last payment was made I ripd document we made case closed.the original engine had been pulled out before sum time ,but it was a 409 original car ..it had a 327 4spd duel pumped carb big Holley carb, headers, with glass packs ,sc delco green eye battery..original everything ..car was taken apart well and put back together well after silver paint job was done from previous owner ..this is my fourth impala..
