Depending on how you mounted the front clip - you could substitute a 67-72 front clip with it's crossmember, center link and tie rod ends for the stock 73-87 crossmember - this will move the wheels inboard 1.5 inches. You can keep the current dropped spindles, upper and lower ball joints, coil springs and A-arms, they will fit onto the 67-72 parts. It would be a difficult way to do it, but you would get the clearance you want.

I seem to remember that someone produced shortened upper and lower A-arms that moved the wheels inboard and provided extra room for wide tires by narrowing the A of the A-arm, I would start looking at Classic Performance parts first, because they are the ones that usually do that kind of stuff.

If possible for your application, larger diameter (17+) wheels (with shorter tires) with more offset will give you the cheapest way to move the tires inboard. It will give you the clearance around the a-arms for a shorter turning radius. It would also give you room for a bigger disk rotor and caliper - if that is something that would interest you. Yes, I know that you said you tried wheels with more offset - but you didn't say whether you increased the wheel size (a big part of getting more clearance).
