What type of fluid do I put in this transmission? I'm thinking it's just 90 weight gear oil. How much? We used to have a 42 dodge, and you basically put it in the upper fill port until it starts to run back out. I'm thinking it's the same with this one. I think it's more than a quart obviously. I bought a gallon just in case. The person at the auto parts store couldn't tell me if this was what is right, so I might end up taking it back. His computer said it uses Dextron II which sounds crazy for a 1965 manual transmission (but that's just me).
