I'm trying to bring this thread back to life. I have the same problem with my oil sending unit as well which is located at the rear of the engine. Its a '03 Yukon 5.3L Vortec Engine. I see that some of the people in this thread managed to change the oil sending unit themselves. How was this done?.. I've read that the manifold will need to be removed but I also read that it can be done without removing it.
