    In response to CaptainK

I have recently had a oil sending unit problem on my 03' Suburban 5.3. My guage was reading 80psi constantly. I ruled out a stepper motor going bad as pulling the fuse to reset the guage did not solve the issue. I purchased a new unit installed it and indeed it solved the problem. Unfortunately, in about a week the guage was reading 80 again. I pulled the new one and cleaned it, and cleaned the old one as well (dont know why I saved it) Neither worked. Any ideas? Maybe I got a bad one?
