I'm pretty happy with the POR-15 on the frame of my 3500HD. It's a work truck, had a lot of surface rust on the frame. No way in the world I was going to prep it for a pro paint or powder coat job.
I could have left it alone as it was a cosmetic issue only, but I was already using POR-15 for taking care of rusty floor pans on the same truck. Again, just a work truck, not something that needed or deserved a full blown restoration process.

Agreed though; good product - depending on the application. For my crusty old work truck, I think it was perfect.
It went a loooong way too without thinning. 1.5 quarts did the floor of the cab with two thick coats, inside and outside firewall, and jambs; outside of the frame, most of the inside frame, and top and bottom rails. Didn't strive for 100% coverage but did a lot more than I planned on. I did get kind of tired of it dripping down on me while painting inside frame/under frame, as I knew it would be very difficult to remove.
