I went to climb in the back seat a few weeks ago and discovered that one seat back was loose and after some investigation I discovered that the hinge where it meets the other seat back was completely loose. I checked my owners manual and didn't find anthing about how the hinge attaches. Looking at the drivers side seat it appears there is a pin that goes through both hinges. Does anyone have any pictures of these hinges and how they should be attached. IT appears that I will have to remove the front seat in order to make this correction. If it wasn't so far I would take it back to the guy that did the upolostery. Thanks for any advice on fixing this problem.

headliner tack strips

My '59 Impala needs headliner tack strips front and
The first owner of my car was a farmer, so it smells a lot. Even the seat belts were stinking. (no offense to all the farmers on CT!) The seat belts are now ok but I did plunge them in water with different cleaning agents, a thing that I can't do with my seats.

My concern are that if I'm using hard stuff to clean them maybe the clothes on them may tear or fade, something I don't want since they are in great shape.

So, what are your tips chevy lovers?
