I just sold my 1963 Impala and I've gotten a 61 bubbletop project. The car that I sold had great interior, but the buyer said he's planning to re-do it. I told him I'd buy/trade the '63 interior off of him.

So my question is, would the 1963 door panels and rear panels fit into the 61? or will I just have to get those re done for the 61?

replacing a top on my cadillac eldorado.

the original top header tack strip was cardboard. IT has long since gone to powder. I bought a replacement strip that is made of plastic. These types are sold everywhere.

My question is how long of a staple should I use on this? The piece is 1/8" thick, but the staples I used on the rest of the top are 1/2" long.

I am wondering if I should just go to 1/8 or 1/4" staples and let the staple curl under the plastic from the metal. There would be the front edge of the top to be stapled through. Then I would need to staple the other piece over that before the windshield seal.
