Anyway I just went to a Rush concert and came home and bought a sub. On the Instructions it has RCA from the back of the head unit to the sub but the sub has + - terminals. I have tried cutting wires but having no luck getting sound, any suggestions.
Trying to determine what the wiring is on the input side (purple, black, yellow, orange) that leads to the 6 pin connection at the amp.

I understand Infinity makes a replacement 2 ohm speaker for these, but I need to figure if the amps are any good (I know I will need a "line level adapter" if the amps check out OK).

92 K1500 needs good stereo

After hearing the factory stereo in a 2003 Trailblazer, i want to know how I can get sound like that in my old truck
I have a mint 1984 Corvette, 14K original miles. Has a Delco Bose radio in it and here is the problem. When you turn the radio on, it just makes a quick electrical snap sound, but no radio sounds. I have had it on one time, hit a bump in road and radio starting playing. Shut it off, no radio since. Clock lit up so I know it's getting power. Any ideas or is radio in need of repair?? Also, if major repair needed, (which I suspect) any recommendations of repair shops for Bose radios for that year?? I'm located in the Midwest.

THANKS for any help you may be able to give in this matter.
I installed an Eclipse 4 channel amp, powering the kick panel and rear shelf and a mono amp powering a 10 inch subwoofer to 'punch up' the sound. This helped a little bit, but mainly just amplified the static and motor noise in the system (remote CD player). For Christmas, my brother gave me a Model One C. I could not believe the improvement in sound quality. It sounds smooth, and balanced, and just plain good. I ran the battery down listening to the system in the garage. For years their was a weak link in my sound system, now it is where it belongs, at the dump.

Model one radio troubleshooting

OK, I just installed a model one radio in my 55 chevy. Got everything hooked up perfect. One of my finer installs. All knobs, bezels, supports fit like a glove. I tested the radio before cleaning up all the wires behind the dash...all good. Great radio. Awesome new age benefits to fit an old car....however, after 45 min of run time, the volume drastically reduced and all sounds became distorted. this happened automatically. I could still increase the volume control, but sounds were still very dim and scratchy/distorted. If I gently touch the wire harness that exits the rear of the radio, the sound tries to clear, but does not come anywhere close to where it was in the beginning.

I had my Ipod hooked into AUX 1. radio was set to about 32 volume and IPOD was about half way. Radio was not warm to the touch (front or rear). I have two 5.5 pioneer kick panel speakers up front and two 6X9 pioneer's in the hatrack. I used the rear RCA jacks and blue amp out to run to an amp in the trunk when the time comes. Those three wire's are secured while not in use. All other wires were tied in using connectors. As stated earlier the radio operated great for about 45 minutes, and then basically crashed.

Has anyone had this happen to them? Any tech support keep up with this forum that might can chime in?

Could the internal amplifier have fried? Just guessing out loud?
